A device can be enrolled in only a single Radix account (= domain) at a time. Therefore, if you are interested in enrolling a device in another account, it will have to be removed from the previous account. There is a command in the Radix Device Manager to remove a device from an account.
Removing a Device from an Account
To remove a device from an account:
- Open the Radix Device Manager Dashboard.
- Click on Devices.
The Devices Console opens. - Find the device that you wish to remove from the account. In our example, we’ll remove the point-of-sale device Newland Selpal Black. It is presently enrolled in the “qa” account.
- Click on the row of the device that you wish to remove from the Radix user.
The Device Dashboard opens. - In the menu on the right, click Manage>Remove.
You will receive a prompt if you are certain that you want to remove the device. - Click Yes. This removes the device from the account “qa” in the Devices Console.
Enrolling a Device in Another Account
To restore the device back into the Radix Device Manager and enroll it in another account:
- On the remote device, open the Viso app. (In our example, we are using a Lenovo tablet.)
- In the Viso app, click the 3-dots menu in the upper right.
- In the drop-down menu, select Config server.
- In the Connection Info screen, supply the name of the domain in which you wish to enroll the device. It is the same as the Account Name in the Radix Device Manager login screen. In our case, we would like to enroll the device in the account name “qa18”.
- Click Next. The Tags screen opens.
In this window, you can assign tags to the device. Devices with the same tag can be classified into groups. You can always go back to this screen and assign tags later. After assigning tags, click Next. - In the Password info window, click the Set password checkbox, to assign a password to the device.
Note: If you assign a password, you will have to enter the password any time you open the Viso app. - Click Next, click the I agree checkbox in the EULA screen, and click Next.
- In the Review screen, click Finish.
The device will now appear in the Radix Device Manager in the Devices console of any user in the account “qa18”.
